宠物进入英国、爱尔兰所需具备的手续较为主要有以下几点：
（1）健康证书
只有离境前48小时内发给的健康证书才有效。证书由兽医签发，上面注明（该兽医必须是负责发放出境证书的有关部门所认可的代理人）该宠物没有患任何传染病、细菌病以及狂犬病。
（2）狂犬病的免疫注射证
这里要提的是，在一个消灭了狂犬病的国家（如英国、 爱尔兰、澳大利亚等国）生活了6个月后再进入其它国家的宠物，则可以不必具备此证书。然而，出于对宠物的爱护，以及到达目的地时，让海关确信该宠物符合检疫要求，最好还是让宠物注射狂犬病疫苗。
（3）出境证书
从本国登记注册宠物的有关部门领取有效的出境证书。证书上要写明在过去两年里，该宠物居住地无传染病流行。按法律规定，传染性疾病是要上报该国有关部门的。出境证书由所在国家的主管部门签发，符合规定的，一踏上要侨居的国家，这张证书上就会盖上认可的印章。
（4）狂犬抗体测试
由于我国属于欧盟国家认定的狂犬病疫区，因此在以上三之上，我们国家入境欧洲还需要采集宠物身上的血清到欧洲指定的实验室进行检测，检测合格，并采集血清3个月后方能入境。以下是欧盟网站上的文本。
（5）隔离观察
所有宠物都必须在认可的隔离区完全隔离观察6个月。如果尚未接种狂犬病疫苗，则宠物一进入隔离区，就必须打狂犬病防疫针。所有要进入英国和爱尔兰的宠物都必须事先申请入境证，该证书由农业部颁发。以下是英国Defra网站上的文本。详细资料你还可以登入我公司英文网站http://www.pettour.org上进行查询。

Having received a high number of correspondence regarding the blockades currently in place at French ports, we would like to clarify that regrettably, there are no changes to Pet Travel Scheme requirements for pets that are due to be travelling from the blockaded ports. Pets must have checked in with the approved carrier within the regular time-frame. If the time-frame is missed, new treatments will be required.
